About the Role
Burj Clean Energy Modaraba is seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join our Technical & Operations team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of distributed solar projects for commercial and industrial clients across Pakistan.
As part of BCEM’s revolving organizational structure, you will collaborate closely with the Commercial & Industrial, Finance, and Advisory teams — gaining exposure well beyond traditional engineering roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer solar PV systems for C&I clients (100 kW – 5 MW range)
- Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and energy yield modeling
- Manage project execution from procurement through commissioning
- Coordinate with EPC contractors and equipment suppliers
- Ensure compliance with NEPRA, AEDB, and local utility regulations
- Prepare technical documentation for project financing and investor due diligence
- Support the development of BCEM’s project portfolio and pipeline reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Energy Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in solar PV project design and execution
- Proficiency in PVsyst, AutoCAD, and project management tools
- Strong understanding of net metering regulations in Pakistan
- Excellent communication skills in English and Urdu
Nice to Have
- Experience with energy storage / battery systems
- Familiarity with Shariah-compliant project financing structures
- PMP or NABCEP certification
